The Labor Guild of Boston is offering 4 courses on Building Trade Issues and Strategies. The courses will run October 19th and 26th, November 4th and 9th at the Plumbers Local #12 Hall, 1240 Massachusetts Ave., Dorchester, MA from 4-6pm.
In these sessions participants will gain the tools and knowledge to succeed and advocate in various public arenas. They are designed for all Building Trades Union Members interested in becoming more active and learning how to promote union positions more effectively in public forums.
Each of the four Building Trade Issues and Strategies class sessions focuses on a specific area:
- Labor Participation in Political Campaigns
- State Legislative Campaigns and Procedures
- Local Actions at City and Town Halls
- Current Issues Facing the Building Trades
The courses are taught by Francis X Callahan, Jr., President, Mass Building Trades Council (MBTC) and Brian Doherty, Secretary Treasurer-General Agent, Building and Construction Trades Council of the Metropolitan District.
