A membership organization of more than 1,300 labor relations activists - union officers and members, corporate staff, arbitrators, mediators, academics, attorneys and regulatory personnel -- all concerned with promoting healthy employee relations.  The Guild is an ecumenical organization sponsored by the Archdiocese of Boston.  The programs include:

* The School of Labor Relations-  the oldest continuing labor education center in New England

* The Gavin Labor-Management Center -six room facility for negotiations, arbitration hearings and organizational meetings. Providing coffee and pastries, internet connection, fax and coping services in a comfortable, neutral setting.


* Labor Management Elections - Administration of contract ratification, bargaining unit representation and election of union officers and delegates.

*Cushing-Gavin Awards- An award is given for outstanding service to representatives from management, labor, legal counsel and auxiliary ranks at the Annual Dinner

* Publisher- Your Rights on the Job - A practical guide to employment laws in Massachusetts by Atty. Robert Schwartz

* Monthly newsletter - Labor Life - highlighting local conferences, conventions, and other industrial relations institutional news.

* Seminars -  for management, union, lawyers and/or tri-partisan groups.

* Library- Mare than 5,000 books, journals and periodicals.
