2020 In Memoriam

We remember and celebrate the lives and accomplishments of these members and friends of the Guild:

Kenneth A. Paradis, Ken served as the Vice President of the National Constructors Association in Washington D.C. and as Manager of Labor Relations for the Big Dig Project in Boston. He was honored a Cushing-Gavin Award in 1999.

James Foss, Worked with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service mediating conflicts in a variety of industries and fields. James taught labor-management relations at Northeastern University for 25 years.

John Rodrigues, He is missed by his wife, Cindy Rodrigues; of Greater Southeastern Massachusetts Labor Council former President, Cushing Gavin Awardee, and Labor Guild board member.

Amelia M. Phinney, Amelia was a business representative for the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters Local 346.

José A. Soler, José was the Director of the UMass Dartmouth Dublin Labor Education Center.

Guadalupe “Chico” Barrera, He is missed by his daughter, Lisa Lemieux, president of the Greater Southeastern Massachusetts Labor Council.
