Remembering Fr. John “Jack” O’Malley
The labor movement, and especially the Labor Guild, has been blessed by so many dedicated priests and religious leaders throughout the years. This September one of these great leaders, Fr. Jack O’Malley, passed away. He served as the Chaplain for the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO and worked with the mining communities throughout Pennsylvania. He was a lifelong activist who hosted United Farm Workers during the Delano grape strike. His dedication and service to the labor movement will continue to live on for years to come. The Guild remembers Fr. O’Malley as a friend and ally of late Guild Chaplain Fr. Ed Boyle.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace
