Congratulations To This Year’s Honorary Cushing-Gavin Award Recipient: Eileen Norton
Eileen served on the Executive Board of the Labor Guild for over 20 years. She has served as Past President and served as Recording secretary and is a Trustee of the Father Ed Boyle fund. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master in Labor and Industrial Relations.
She attended Guild Labor School over 40 years ago and has been connected to the Labor Guild since then. She retired in 2019 from her position as Director of Organizing at the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA). At MNA, she also served as Campaign Manager for Ballot Campaign for Safe Patient Limits. Before her position at MNA, she worked at Carney Hospital, where she served as Unit Chair and worked in the Operating Room. She previously worked as a staff nurse in various positions in Rehabilitation and acute care.
