Join us on the Labor Guild’s Facebook LIVE page for Conversation Corner with Dan Fogarty Esq. – Partner at Sandulli-Grace, P.C. Dan will be leading a discussion about the Supreme Court case, Starbucks vs. McKinney. We will discuss the facts of the case, the decision, and the impact on labor relations.

After several Starbucks employees announced plans to unionize, they invited a news crew from a local television station to visit the store after hours to promote their unionizing effort. Starbucks fired multiple employees involved with the media event for violating company policy. The National Labor Relations Board filed an administrative complaint against Starbucks, alleging that it had engaged in unfair labor practices during a union organizing campaign. This led to the Supreme Court’s opinion and decision as listed below. Supreme Court Opinion


Daniel Fogarty is a partner at Sandulli-Grace, P.C., where his practice focuses on representing unions and their members in a wide range of labor and employment matters. Prior to joining the firm, Dan worked as a Labor Relations Trial Examiner at the New York City Office of Collective Bargaining. He is a graduate of George Washington University with a B.A. in Philosophy, and Brooklyn Law School.
