September 19, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until October 10, 2023
Course Description: The American Labor Relations System: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow will explore how labor history has shaped today’s unions, as well as the challenges and opportunities unions may face in the future. Over the course of five weeks, the class will discuss key moments in labor history, how state and federal labor laws have changed over time, and the ways modern workers are fighting to organize, negotiate, and enforce collective bargaining agreements.
Instructor: Daniel Fogarty is a partner at Sandulli Grace, P.C., where his practice focuses on representing unions and their members in a wide range of labor and employment matters. Prior to joining the firm, Dan worked as a Labor Relations Trial Examiner at the New York City Office of Collective Bargaining. He is a graduate of George Washington University, with a B.A. in Philosophy, and Brooklyn Law School.
