Social Justice According to Dr. Seuss

This course will focus on analyzing and discussion of some of Dr Seuss’ books as a means to have deeper discussion about hidden messages behind the written word. What can we make of both the racism in his cartoons and his pro social justice messages to generations of youngsters? What can we take from these books and writings that we come across every day? Students are responsible for acquiring and reading the following books prior to class each week;
Week 1 The Sneetches and Marvin k Mooney
